2026年9月10日から12日にかけて，ハノイ工科大学（Hanoi University of Science and Technology：HUST）を訪問し，岐阜大学工学部機械工学科とハノイ工科大学とのツイニングプログラムの一環として開催された大学説明会に参加しました。 ハノイ工科大学を訪問するのは昨年に続いて2度目となります。今回の説明会でも，現地の学生を対象に，岐阜大学や機械工学科での教育・研究，岐阜での学生生活などについて紹介しました。直接学生の皆さんと話をする機会もあり，日本への留学や岐阜大学での学びに対する関心の高さをあらためて感じる機会となりました。 昨年の訪問をきっかけとして交流が継続していることもあり，今回は前回以上にハノイ工科大学を身近に感じる訪問となりました。大学間の連携は，一度の訪問や説明会だけで完結するものではなく，このような交流を継続していくことによって，少しずつ深まっていくものだと感じます。
　ハノイの街は今回も多くの人々とバイクであふれ，非常に活気に満ちていました。急速に発展する街や大学の様子からも多くの刺激を受け，私自身も教育・研究の両面でさらに努力していかなければならないと感じました。
　今後もツイニングプログラムを通じた学生交流をはじめ，ハノイ工科大学との継続的な交流を大切にし，両大学の連携をさらに深めていきたいと考えています。
　From September 10 to 12, 2026, I visited Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) and participated in a university information session held as part of the twinning program between the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Gifu University and HUST.
　This was my second visit to HUST, following last year’s visit. During the information session, I introduced Gifu University, the education and research activities of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, and student life in Gifu to local students. I also had opportunities to speak directly with the students and was once again impressed by their strong interest in studying in Japan and at Gifu University.
　As our exchange has continued since last year’s visit, I felt even more familiar with HUST this time. Collaboration between universities cannot be established through a single visit or information session; rather, I believe it gradually deepens through the continuation of such exchanges.
　Once again, the streets of Hanoi were filled with people and motorbikes and were full of energy. I was greatly inspired by the rapid development of both the city and the university, and the visit reminded me that I must continue to make further efforts in both education and research.
　I hope to continue valuing our ongoing exchange with HUST, including student exchange through the twinning program, and to further strengthen the collaboration between our two universities.
