About ISDF2018
Even in the 21st century, dyeing and finishing of textiles is one of the important fields. In recent years, various technologies in other fields have been introduced and related fields have been spreading more and more. In order to aim for further development in this field, it is necessary to grasp accurately the information on what is being done now.
The International Symposium on Dyeing and Finishing (ISDF) was held the first time in 1994 in Fukui, in Wakayama in 1998, in Kyoto in 2006, in Ueda in 2009 and in Tokyo in 2014. Participants gathered from all over the world, presented their researches and discussed enthusiastically at all symposiums that were remarkably vibrant and successful. Following these symposiums, the 6th International Symposium on Dyeing and Functionalization of Textiles and Polymers (ISDF 2018) will be held in Nagoya from November 11 (Sun) to 13 (Tue), 2018. The ISDF2018 is organized by the 120th Committee, Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, and supported by Japan Society of Dyeing Association, Japan Chemical Fibers Association, The Society of Fiber Science and Technology, Japan, The Textile Machinery Society of Japan and The Japan Research Association for Textile End-uses.
One purpose of the ISDF 2018 is to deepen scientific and technological discussions from all perspectives in related fields including dyes, dyeing, functionalized fibers and polymers, high performance fibers, and composite materials. In addition, it aims to help many researchers concerned in this field build an international network. This international symposium consists of 11 invited lectures and general poster presentations, especially 8 prominent researchers and engineers from Canada, the United States, France, Malaysia, China, Korea and Taiwan will be invited.
Please do not hesitate to give a presentation and join the circle of meaningful debate at ISDF2018.
