Our laboratory addresses advanced research on systems development for analyzing glycan-related molecules. The main theme involves unravelling glycan functions using newly developed technologies, and more importantly, contributing to “Glycoscience.” To achieve these targets, we focus on high-throughput glycoproteomics and glycometabolomics by LC-MS. We also develop novel automated systems for individual researchers to easily analyze glycans from multiple samples. The information, thus obtained, about the glycan-related molecules, would facilitate both clinical diagnosis of diseases and an understanding of life.
