Focusing on shape changes of proteins in solution based on scattering image. We are developing oen sturucture as well as special cell equipments.

High hydrostatic pressure could enhance the solubility of proteins. This could be utilized for refolding of aggregated denatured proteins, regulation of biological activity of oligomeric proteins, etc.
We focus on the characterization of oligomeric proteis under high hydrostatic pressure in the point of view of structural biology and thermodynamics, using originally developed high pressure small angle x-ray scattering and electrophoresis instruments.
