Venue, Location, Travel Information
The venue of the conference will be Nagaragawa convention center, which is located on the north side of Nagara River at Gifu city.

By railway
It takes about 20 to 30 min from Nagoya, which is one of the station of the Shinkansen (bullet train) between Tokyo and Osaka, by Central Japan Railway Company (http://english.jr-central.co.jp/index.html).
By airplane
Chubu international airport (http://www.centrair.jp/en/) is the nearest to Gifu. Meitetsu (private railway) (http://www.meitetsu.co.jp/eng/?_ga=1.235573890.205104721.1402386378) is available from the airport to Gifu city. It takes about one hour by the limited express, or one and half hours by regular trains.
Climate
The climate in Gifu in late May is generally comfortable. The temperature can be around 23 °C in the day time and around 14 °C at night. It is usually sunny but occasionally rainy.
Currency
The local currency is the Japanese Yen (JPY). Foreign currency is not accepted at most stores in Japan. Major credit cards are accepted in most hotels, restaurants, and shops. But small restaurants and shops may not accept credit cards. Major currencies such as US dollar and EURO, can be exchanged at international airports and major banks. The secretariat will only accept Japanese yen in cash at the ICCST-13 Desk.
Passports and Visa
Participants requiring a visa for entry to Japan are strongly advised to make their application in their home country at least three months before the intended date of travel. For information, please consult your nearest Japanese Embassy or Consulate or your travel agency.
Letter of Invitation
Those who need a letter of invitation for visa application, please contact the ICCST-13 chairman (mtoshi@gifu-u.ac.jp).
Insurance
ICCST-13 will not assume responsibility for medical expenses of attendees at ICCST-13. All attendees are urged to ensure that they are covered by their own travel and health insurance policies while traveling to and from and while attending ICCST-13. ICCST-13 is not responsible for private possessions lost or stolen at the symposium.
Registration
Registration will start in the beginning of October, 2015. The deadline for early registration will be March 20, 2016.
