About us
Pushing the limits of soft materials
A hub for creating Next-generation Polymer Chemistry
Miwa-Hashimoto Laboratory is a research group centered on polymer materials chemistry,
aiming to create new functional soft materials.
We are deeply pursuing the relationship between structure and properties in a wide range of polymeric materials, including CO₂-responsive polymers, ion gels, and self-healing elastomers.
We conduct research consistently from fundamental to applied studies, working to develop high-performance new materials that contribute to next-generation innovation in fields such as automotive, medical, and electronics.
