Fujisawa, Kamagata, and Ishiguro Laboratory (Fujisawa Lab)

A Laboratory Focused on Phenomena (Properties), Not Synthesis or Reactions

In the field of chemistry, research pillars include not only synthesis and reactions but also the study of properties.

Understanding biological phenomena requires investigating the behavior and properties of biopolymers in aqueous solutions. Our laboratory aims to understand proteins through a combination of theory and experiments, utilizing single molecule fluorescence microscopy, high hydrostatic pressure techniques, and scattering analysis. We seek to apply these insights to engineering.

Appointment of Associate Professor Kiyoto Kamagata (April 1, 2024)

Associate Professor Keiichi Kameyama, who served our laboratory for many years, retired in March 2022. Professor Kiyoto Kamagata joined us from Tohoku University in April 2024.
