Introduction of LDSS analysis (3)

 

LDSS-positive elements are detected by looking at distribution profiles in a large set of promoter sequences.



















Advantage of LDSS analysis over Gibbs Sampling and comparative genomics approaches:

* Sensitive detection of minor elements in the utilized promoter set (red)

* Extraction of single genome-specific information

* No need for microarray or ChIP-chip data
