FAQ
Generally, you can find most of the answers to your doubts from "FAQ's by International Applicants ", prepared by our university's Student Exchange Division.
Q1
What kinds of subjects are required for admission to the Faculty of Engineering?
A1
Besides the Japanese language, Mathematics (algebra, geometry, analysis, statistics, etc) and science subjects (physics, chemistry or biology; depending on which department you are applying to) are also required. You should study those subjects prior to the entrance examination.
Q2
Is it possible for me to get more information on the pass year questions of the entrance examinations?
A2
Yes, you can obtain pass year's questions of the entrance examinations. For undergraduate program (only limited to privately-financed international students), please call our admission division for more details. You can either come directly to our faculty's office, Admission Division, or we can post it to you if you could provide the necessary postage or we can also send via COD (cash on delivery) if you have a permanent address in Japan. For the Master's program, please visit the department's office during the office hours (Japanese page, item no (6) ). The pass year questions are normally placed at the department's office and you can borrow for photocopy when the person-in-charged is available. As for the Doctoral program, please consult your academic supervisor for more details. Entrance examination for the doctoral course requires you to present your previous research results together with your research proposal to be carried out in our graduate school during a 1-h interview.
Q3
What is the employment situation of International Students graduated from the Faculty of Engineering?

Q4
I am interested to be an exchange student in your faculty, what are the subjects / credits that are recognized by my university?
A4
We do not have such special subjects offered especially for exchange students, but if the syllabus of the subjects that you plan to enroll in our faculty are the same as those in your faculty/university, there is a possibility those credit hours would be recognized by your faculty/university. However, we do not have such cases in our past records. Please confirm with your faculty's academic affairs section before applying if you really need those credit hours.
Q5
Besides financial aids and scholarships, what kinds of supports would I get from the faculty?
A5
We have special staff in-charge of International Students' affairs; in addition, we also have Tutor System that enables you to have personal tuitions from a graduate student (normally a Japanese graduate student) of the same department / laboratory. Please also visit "Other Information" under "International Applicants".
