Advances in Mathematical Sciences and Applications GAKKOTOSHO TOKYO, JAPAN

This journal is concerned with research activities for mathematical analysis and its applications to natural and social sciences as well as engineering. It is an international journal and will publish research and expository papers devoted to presenting significant mathematical results and/or informing the specialists of topics of current interest in their fields. Authors of such papers are encouraged to indicate possible relevance to the research subjects as listed below. The papers emphasizing applications to concrete problems should contain valid mathematical models and important problems arising from real situations. In particular, papers that tend to integrate or interrelate theory, methods and applications within the scope of the Journal will be welcome.

(a) Functional Analysis : Linear and nonlinear operators, evolution equations, semigroups of linear or nonlinear operators, fixed point theorems, dynamical systems, ergodic theory and the related subjects.
(b) Differential and Integral Equations : Linear or nonlinear ordinary differential equations, partial differential equations, integro-differential equations and linear and nonlinear problems involving differential and/or integral equations.
(c) Convex and Nonconvex Analysis : Gradient operators, subdifferential operators, variational principles, variational methods and their applications.
(d) Control and Optimization : Optimal control problems for systems of ordinary and partial differential equations, optimal design problems and their applications to real situations.
(e) Mathematical Approaches to Real World Problems : Mathematical modeling of linear or nonlinear phenomena and analysis of the mathematical models.
(f) Numerical Analysis and Scientific Computing : Numerical methods for differential equations, approximation methods and computational techniques related to the subjects mentioned

in items (a) through (e).
