Division of Biological Production Systems
-
Graduate programs (Master's program) -

1) Description of the Division
This division, seek the best method of improving agricultural production through new technologies, and theories of plant production which promote the systematization of agriculture : consolidation of farm land, improvement of irrigation and drainage systems and their maintenance, production of seed and plantlets by biotechnology, plant pest management trough ecology, farm mechanization, development of the rural environment surround by those, rationalization of marketing techniques, business management and economics for food production and the distributions, etc.

2) Introduction to Subject Areas

Department of Land and Water Engineering
Education and Research:
Advanced and specialized studies are carried out in Irrigation and Drainage, Hydrology and Hydraulics, Farm Land Engineering, and Structural Engineering for Agricultural Facilities. In a concrete form, experimental and numerical analyses of the most appropriate water management practices for crop production, irrigation and drainage system, improvement of agriculture and rural district in harmony with natural environment and stability analysis of hydraulic structures are with in the scope of education and research.

Students who major in the Land and Water Engineering are advised to take the following subjects. Students may take subjects held in other courses upon consulting with a faculty advisor. Two credits from major educational research field in course subject and 12 credits from Special Research in Land and Water Engineering in common subject as obligate subjects and 18 credits from the rest of subjects as selective subjects, in total 30 credits, are required in order to graduate.
